Q. How long will a gallon last?
A. For maintenance horses feeding 2
oz (1/4 cup) daily, a gallon will last about two months. For performance or higher maintenance horses feeding 4 oz
(1/2 cup) daily, a gallon
will last about one month.
Q. How do you sell your product so
reasonable compared to other equine soy oil supplements on the market?
A. By keeping our operation small,
our overhead expenses are low, thus allowing us to promote a quality product
at a reasonable price.
Q. I’ve seen other soy oil
supplements with a higher vitamin-E content or other vitamins included, does
Soy-Natural-E have these?
A. With the exception of trace
amounts of flavoring, Soy-Natural-E is completely natural and does not have
any synthetic vitamins added.
Q. How long does it take to see
results?
A. Every horse's dietary needs are
different, but typical results can be expected in four to six weeks.
Noticeable changes in the coat can be seen in as little as a week or two.
Q. Is it true that with a soy oil supplement I can reduce the amount of grain I’m feeding?
A. Yes. That is one of the many
benefits of soy oil supplements. Top dressed on a quality feed grain, your
horse gets all the essential fatty acids and vitamin-E they need without
having to give them large amounts of grain.
Q. Doesn't my grain have
essential fatty acids?
A. Yes it does, but it is hard
to preserve the fat content in dry grain. Many of the natural oils
that were in the grain have been destroyed when exposed to natural elements.
Heat, air, and sunlight all have an effect on the fatty acid content in
grain. Most of your standard feeds available on the market are very
low in fat content. That is why it is important to supplement your
grain with a product like Soy-Natural-E; it is 98% fatty acids.
Q. Can I feed this to my
weanlings and younger horses?
A. Yes. We have been feeding soy oil to our
foals since they started to creep feed. Our mares are also on
Soy-Natural-E during their pregnancy. We have noticed that the foals
and young stock tend to shed their winter coats faster when on
Soy-Natural-E. They also have gorgeous shine to
them and really blossom.
Q. How long have you been using
soy oil supplements on your horses and what results have you seen?
A. Approximately six years ago we
had a scare when one of our yearlings became very ill with colic due to an
impaction. This
really made us take a hard look at our feeding program. At the time we
were feeding a high quality grain feed at the recommended feeding ration.
It was at that time that we decided to reduce the amount of grain ration we
were giving our horses and look for a better alternative. After much
personal research, we have found that feeding more fat in our horses' diets
and much less starches and sugars, our horses are acting and looking better
than ever. Since top dressing the soy oil on our horses' rations, the results have been amazing!
The most noticeable things we see with our horses is how calm they are and
how healthy they look; they have a very healthy look to them all year
round.
